I'd love if it become weekly, but hate if it go for a single girl and not an harem. Let's hope at least Darkness gives us a decent ending.

i'll wait at least 2 years, if there is no sequel even after that, well...

Lala and Haruna came with the idea that Rito could take turns dating the two, though the indecisive wimp was too pussy to accept this plan. Momo later confessed to Rito and told him the truth behind the harem plan.
Maybe Rito will end up with someone during the two extra chapters, though I bet they will just be ecchi with no plot.

In To Love Ru Darkness it was 10% (if even) plot and 90% ecchi.
Maybe in To Love Ru Lightness it'll just be hentai? That'll be nice.

Dunno if that's sarcasm or not but I'd love to see Yabuki's next publication in Comic X-Eros or Girls ForM or something, rather than a shounen mag.

So, why MAL shows 100 chapters if 77 is final one?

The actual distribution between the two I'm not sure it's all that different from each other though

Yeah Darkness has way more plot and way more ecchi than the original

Exactly. I think the same way.
I think that Darkness was an awesome up for the series, increasing in quality and quantity both plot and ecchi compared to the original.

Yep, Darkness improved on the plot and ecchi aspects of the original (along with the art, though the art was already improving throughout the original), though it still retains many flaws the original series had, such as the predictability of the plot elements and ecchi, unoriginality and repetitiveness. Both are still mostly enjoyable in my opinion, and I don't get how people hate the original and love Darkness, since they're pretty similar at heart.

MAL's chapter count includes all the bonus chapters too
If that's the case, then it should be 101 chapters since there's also the prologue.

No, Yabuki and Hasemi said that there will be a secret project, which does not necessarily mean a sequel.

Don't blame Yabuki for the ending; blame the writer Hasemi. It is next to impossible for him to make the harem plan succeed due to Rito's indecisive, timid nature. Also, the next manga (if there is one) is unlikely to be a hentai as ecchi series like this and the original generate more money for them.

Yeah, I was kinda wrongly blaming him for the ending. I always had a feeling that he's the one that dictates the way that the series is taking.
But definitely blaming him for the missed opportunity, since he's a member of a hentai circle and his art is actually awesome.
As I understood, they're not planning to continue this series for the time being. But still, they could at least progress in into a hentai. It would have been a good time now.
Rito didn't have any character development at all, which is ridiculous, considering his situation. You can't forever be timid if you touch sexy girls on a daily basis for months. Especially since he's in puberty and hormones would be controlling him. I mean, everything has a limit and considering the amount of chapters, some progress should have happened. Rito is supposed to be the heir to the Universe's throne, so in almost 300 chapters him not marrying Lala is fucking ridiculous. I understand it's fantasy, but at least make some characters more human so we can relate. The ending demonstrates poor writing.

Rito's actually had some character development, though not much. He's less timid than he was at the start of the series, as he used to faint whenever he seen girls in bikinis. On the other hand, not much has changed at all, and he's still as annoying as ever (and his voice still hasn't broken yet)

I agree. He could've at least had a harem consisting of Lala, Haruna, Run, Momo and Yami, the five who have properly confessed to him (the other girls only had slight feelings). It's even more annoying when they tease character development (like in Darkness chapter 73, where Rito dreams about accepting the harem and sucking Momo's tits) and it doesn't remotely happen. It's like they deliberately made him unrealistically indecisive; that's how poor some of the writing is. I wished Hasemi put as much work into the writing as Yabuki did into the art.

just finished TLR and TLR:Darkness, quite disappointed with the ending though. what's the reason you keep your hopes up for a sequel? it's been so long since they finished it. i want it to continue too though. preferably as harem, i hate when they make the girls sad (but i'd understand if they'd only go the Haruna+Rito path, maybe convince them both of a harem later?)
